Lindsay Lohan Charged in the Theft of a Necklace and Released on Bail

Directly after being charged in the theft of a $2,500 necklace by a Los Angeles judge, Lindsay Lohan posted bail and walked free for the long Easter Weekend. The Los Angeles Sheriff Department where Lohan was detained reported the actress posted her $75,000 bail and walked free around 9pm on Saturday night. Lohan was being held at the Los Angeles Reception Center in downtown Los Angeles awaiting her afternoon court hearing with Judge Stephanie Sautner who handed down a sentence of 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service for violation of her probation. Lohan violated her probation during her grand theft case of a stolen necklace from a Los Angeles jewelry store.

Lohan is expected to report on Monday to begin serving her 480 hours of court ordered community service at the women's shelter in downtown Los Angeles. Judge Sautner reduced the original felony charge during the hearing on Friday to a misdemeanor but ruled a probation violation charge on the actress after reviewing the jewelry store security tapes. During a routine patrol by an officer, gun shots were reported and localized to a bail bonds company. The officer was on the scene after a violent altercation occured where one man was wounded from a gun shot. After an investigation by local police was conducted charges have been filed against a local bailbondsman for a shooting of a man during an altercation that turned violent. Jose Centeno a local bail bondsman pulled a gun and fired at two men during an altercation over fake gold hitting one man in the leg and leaving him injured. Bail agent Centeno has been charged with 1st degree attempted murder in connection with the shooting.

On April 13 two male subjects entered a local bail bonds company and an argument ensued over fake gold, as the argument escaladed two bail agents produced guns and the two men fled the scene - Centeno chased the men outside and opened fire hitting one man in the leg. The two bail agents involved in the shooting, fled the scene but where later tracked down. Baltimore police were on the scene shortly after the and rushed the wounded victim to the hospital and arrested Centeno in the shooting.
