7 Killed in Michigan Slaughter

Dozens of police officers with guns drawn descended Thursday night on a Grand Rapids, Mich., neighborhood and cornered a suspect wanted in the deaths of seven people, including two children. Police said that after a high-speed pursuit, the suspect crashed his vehicle, ran and broke into a home and took what was intially reported to be two people hostage. A New Orleans Bail Bonds Scheme has 3 People Indicted

A spokesman for the New Orleans DA's Office reported that a Grand Jury has indicted 3 people in an illegal bail bond scheme. Murder suspect Stanley Berniard schemed wtih bail bondsman Torrey Lewis and Christina Sentmore to post an illegal bond to free himself. Lewis lied to the District Attorney's office about the value of the properties used to post Berniard's bail. Lewis had received $13,000 to post Berniard's bail from Sentmore but reported to the Grand Jury he had received nothing. The bail bonds scheme investigation had been going on for months with attempts to link the former bail bonds agent into the indictment. Rod Blagojevich Convicted by Jury

Today a jury covicted ex-Ill Governor Rod Blagojevich at the corruption charges retrial. Rod Blagojevich allegedly tried to sell or trade President Barack Obama's Senate seat after Obama took the presidency in 2008. The verdict was a bitter defeat for Blagojevich, who had spent 2 1/2 years professing his innocence on reality TV shows and later on the witness stand. His defense team had insisted that hours of FBI wiretap recordings were just the ramblings of a politician who liked to think out loud. Man Murders his Bail Bonds Business Partner

After an investigation, Dallas detectives have charged a local bail bonds business owner with murdering his bail bonds business partner. During the murder investigation, James Beavers reported to detectives that a man had entered the bail bonds business asking about securing bail for a friend when he pulled out a gun and shot and killed his bail bonds partner Mark Stockton. Beavers reported to Police that the man had shot his bail bonds business partner in the head and then fled the scene. Beavers also reported after hearing the shots at the bail bonds business, he rushed into the office and saw his bail bonds business partner dead on the floor.
